Beautiful Bonnie spent the past 10 years as the loyal canine companion of a mentally ill guardian.  For years, Bonnie and her demon-ridden companion were inseparable. Now, Bonnie is alone; her guardian dead. Bonnie seems lost without him.  Yet, her eyes brighten when she hears kind words.  She melts under a soft touch.  This sweet soulful shepherd-mix is gaining confidence everyday as HART slowly expands her experiences.  Bonnie is about 60 pounds.  She is a terrific dog who will blossom in the care of a supportive, loving, attentive and understanding person.

Skylar is an 8 year old neutered male Papillon/Jack Russell terrier mix.  Ill and in pain with long neglected ear drum and inner ear infections, Skylar was dropped off at a local dog rescue organization with a note that his guardian was ill and could no longer care for him.  When the rescue was unable to minister to his ailments, HART asked to take him in.  Thanks to our talented cooperating veterinarians, Skylar is feeling much better and no longer suffers with ear infections, although it has robbed him of some hearing.  Skylar is a dog with a great deal of potential.  He enjoys walking on a leash.  He is good with other dogs.  At about 13 pounds, he is the perfect size for an apartment or trailer park home.  And he so longs for a loving, kind and patient new guardian.

Taco and Lady are the perfect pair for the dog lover torn between adopting a large or small dog.  Absolutely precious together, Taco is an active 6 year old neutered male Pug-Chihuahua mix.  Lady is a reserved, sweet spayed female Husky-Yellow Lab-mix.  Taco loves dog parks and games of fetch.  Lady enjoys leisurely strolls, quiet time in the backyard and hugs from her people.  Both are housetrained.  They are self-entertaining and can be left alone without being destructive.  They love people. Are good with older children.  They are okay with other dogs in a supervised setting.  No experience with cats, however. Taco is about 15 pounds.  Lady about 75 pounds. Granted, they are a mismatched pair, but they have loads of love to give. They were returned to HART after three years with an adopter due to the adopter's change in lifestyle.

Kaluah is an 8 pound,14 year old spayed female purebred chihuahua. She is outgoing.  Loves people and is good with other small dogs.  We'd love to get her in a forever home where she is loved and cherished for the rest of her life.
